The crossed pin configuration allows two computers to be connected peer-to-peer without the need for a hub or switch. This cable may also be used to connect network switches and hubs without an uplink port to other switches and hubs. Build your home or office network with 1000 Base-T Gigabit Ethernet. This cable meets or exceeds Category 5E performance in compliance with the TIA/EIA -568-C.2 specifications.
